MSS COURSE – MARITIME SECURITY SPECIALIST COURSE (TRIDNT 747)

This (5) day United States Coast Guard certified course was developed by former US Navy SEAL/s who are Subject Matter Experts (SME) in Anti-Piracy operations with over 40 repels since 2008. Upon completion of this course the student will possess the necessary skill sets to work as a Maritime Security Specialist for the Maritime Industry. Career guidance also offered upon successful completion of the course.

MS/VBSS – MARITIME SECURITY / VISIT, BOARD, SEARCH, SEIZURE

This (5) day course was developed by former US Navy SEALs & SWAT operators who are Subject Matter Experts (SME) in Maritime Security, Interdiction and VBSS operations. The course covers Vessel Interdiction Concepts, Climb / Climb Security / Scenario Development, Vessel Movement Process, GA Plan Review/Op Plan Development, VBSS/Vessel Clearance, Night Interdiction and VBSS operations.

VESSEL SECURITY OFFICER – VSO (TRIDNT-573)

This 2-day course aims to provide the knowledge and the appropriate skills to those that may be designated to perform the duties and responsibilities of a Vessel Security Officer. 

Completion of the VSO course will satisfy the training requirements of 33 CFR 104.215(d)(iv) and STCW Code Section A-VI/5 for an STCW endorsement as VSO.  

Most, if not all, Maritime Security companies have VSO as a mandatory requirement.

COMPANY SECURITY OFFICER- CSO (TRIDNT-572)

This 2-day course aims to provide the knowledge and the appropriate skills to those that may be designated to perform the duties and responsibilities of Company Security Officer.

The training course requirement of 33 CFR Part 104.215 and 46 CFR 11.337 for issuance of “Vessel Security Officer” endorsement.

Meet the competences of STCW Code Chapter VI, Section A-VI/5, and Table A-VI/5

The Guidelines for Maritime Security Training Course Providers, reference Federal Register February 8, 2005 (volume 70, Number 25)

Comply with Regulations 13.1 and 13.2 (Parts A&B) of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.

VESSEL PERSONNEL w/ DESIGNATED SECURITY DUTIES (VPDSD TRIDNT-747)

This 1 day course is intended to provide the knowledge required for seafarers with designated security duties in connection with a Vessel Security Plan (VSP) to perform their duties in accordance with the requirements of Maritime Transportation Security Act of 2002, Chapter XI-2 of SOLAS 74 as amended, the ISPS Code, the U.S. Coast Guard regulations contained in 33 CFR Chapter 1 Sub-chapter H, and/or Section A-VI/6 of the STCW Code as amended.

TRIDENT GROUP AMERICA IS CERTIFIED AND AUTHORIZED TO TRAIN MARINERS WITH THE FOLLOWING COURSES:

Small Arms Course – The student will learn the knowledge, skills and abilities to safely, responsibly and effectively employ small arms.

Shipboard Security Tactics – SRF Training – The student will learn how to move tactically and efficiently as a team member of the vessels security team. They will learn hand signals, communications, movements, threat recognition, and conduct scenario based training.

Basic Watch Stander Course – The student will learn the responsibilities as the vessels watch stander, what the chain of command is, understanding of what equipment is available and how to use it, and basic security awareness.

Advanced Watch Stander Course – The student will be taught and must demonstrate the skills and use of the expandable baton, handcuffing as well as the use of Mechanical Advantage Control Holds.
